I just wanted to record this:
Yep, that’s 90,000+ words – actually managed to reach 90,094 before the toddler woke this afternoon. And I still have a month before the competition deadline. I’m really feeling like I can do this. Barring some disaster, I really think I can . . .
Anyway, 90,000 words is my projected 75% mark. 25% (est) to go. My characters have been rock bottom. Things are starting to look up (but, I still have more for them), and then we will be onto the tidy up.
Well, keep watching this space over the next month. I’ll keep you posted.

Congratulations! Look how far you’ve come!
I know! Isn’t it awesome? I do love progress meters.
That is both the best and worst feature in Scrivener! Good work and keep it up.
Thanks, Eric. Yeah, it’s easy to be distracted by going “Ooh, look how much I’ve done”, rather than just keeping going. But with the deadline looming, it can be helpful, too.
It’s so awesome to see how much you’ve got, isn’t it? How much more do you have now?
It is nice. Tough to see how much still to do. But when I think it wasn’t that long ago that I only had 50% done, it’s pretty cool. I’m only at 79% now. The progress has been slow of late. I will see what I can do this weekend to catch up.
