Hey all.
I’m not sure how many of these I’ll do (especially with the WIP), but I felt like sharing this little bit and the Weekend Writing Warriors’ #8Sunday is the perfect place to do it, I think. And really, how appropriate, considering my WIP is titled Warrior’s Touch, to follow on from the already released Healer’s Touch… See what I’m doing there? Yep, I’m shifting focus.
Anyway, I’m going to try not to be too spoilery, so I’ll let the sentences speak for themselves… If they don’t work out of context then, well, um… yeah…
“You sick—.” Jonas stood.
Braph was out of his chair in an instant, expanding the distance between himself and his own brother, and placing his chair firmly between them, despite the fact Jonas would need to clear the table first. “Now, now, we’ve already talked about this. I really don’t believe it’s your place to judge where a man’s affections may fall. And it’s not like you didn’t know the kind of relationship I had with my… guests.” A smile dared flicker across his face.
Llew could just about feel the heat radiating from Jonas as he held himself in check.
Dun, dun, dun…
Of course, I think it would be fab if you would consider purchasing a copy of Healer’s Touch (A few links I know of can be found here).
Llew has a gift. Her body heals itself from any injury – but at a cost to anyone nearby.
On the run after surviving the hangman’s noose, Llew learns that her ability to heal herself and others is more dangerous than she could have imagined. And her greatest hope of remaining free of those who would use her power for ill lies with the man who would kill her if he ever found out what she was… or would he?
Oh, but there is so much more!
HT is quirky, fast paced, Western-steampunk-fantasy. It’s Llew’s journey of self discovery and acceptance and the start of her emotional healing.

Interesting story premise and interaction between brothers. Intriguing snippet.
Thanks for dropping by! Yep, the sibling relationship is a fun one to play with – esp when you can have one on each side…
I wonder what Braph has done that has got Jonas so riled up. Very intriguing.
Thanks for dropping by, Clare. Ooh… a little bit intriguing. Half of that question would be answered in “Healer’s Touch”… but, yes, there is definitely more to come. I actually never set out to write a series, but by the time I got half-way through HT I knew there was more than could fit into one book… *this* is one of those reasons…
