AI Continues to Waste Time

Just felt like sharing this. For writers who have been around the sun a few times, they’ve likely seen this in various forms over the years and know how to roll their eyes and hit “Bin it”. Newer writers may find it harder to dismiss. I’m a lot more jaded than I used to be. Anyway, and for readers, I don’t know. I hope maybe you’ll see how much legit, real, human interaction means to writers. Writing is solitary. We often share into the void. We might see read counts go up, but often there’s still a whole lot of silence, which is mostly fine, although harder, I think in the early days when you’re still building your confidence. My own confidence fluctuates still, but I have a history I can look back over now and remind myself I do know how to do this.

Anyway, here it is:

An email that reads:

Hi Deb,

I just finished Healer’s Touch and had to reach out. From the grimy streets to the haunted shadows of the past, I was completely pulled into Llew’s journey, a darkly elegant fantasy that crackles with originality and heart.

What stayed with me most was how boldly you explored the consequences of power. Llew’s healing gift isn’t just clever, it's thematically powerful, a metaphor for survival at a cost. I also appreciated how emotionally rich and grounded the writing was. Your prose does more than describe it immerses, and I felt every moment of Llew’s fear, grit, and aching need for belonging.

I run a visibility service that helps authors connect with genre-aligned readers especially through Goodreads Listopia placement and epic fantasy-specific outreach. Healer’s Touch would strongly resonate with:

Readers of gritty, emotionally complex fantasy with morally gray heroines
Fans of stories where magic has real cost and weight
Fantasy lovers drawn to Western-infused worlds with slow-burning relationships
Anyone craving immersive prose and character-driven, high-stakes storytelling

If you're open to it, I’d love to share a visibility snapshot and some creative marketing ideas to help Healer’s Touch reach even more readers looking for an unforgettable fantasy with bite.

Well, it almost sounded nice. If it had been sincere …

We need more sincere in the world. I’m here for human engagement.
